Company Overview
AuditMiner develops the platform CPA firms use to conduct employee benefit plan (EBP) audits. The company is in a period of significant growth. This role is foundational to that trajectory: the first dedicated sales leader responsible for establishing the sales function.
Job Description
The Director of Sales will combine two responsibilities: direct sales execution and sales function development. This individual will serve as the primary closer on strategic and enterprise accounts, including current pilot relationships, while also establishing the playbooks, compensation structure, and hiring plan required to scale.
This role reports directly to the CEO and collaborates cross-functionally with marketing, customer success, and product to shape the go-to-market approach for an evolving platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Execution
- Own and carry an individual sales quota, serving as the primary closer on strategic and enterprise accounts, including current pilot relationships
- Manage the full sales cycle independently: discovery, demonstration, negotiation, and close
- Lead contract and pricing negotiations for complex or enterprise-tier engagements
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline management and forecasting within HubSpot
- Ensure the ongoing hygiene and optimization of the Sales workspace in HubSpot
- Team Leadership
- Coach and develop the existing sales team through deal reviews, call shadowing, and live feedback on active opportunities
- Establish and own the sales playbooks, including qualification criteria, discovery framework, demo structure, and objection handling
- Design the compensation plan and ramp process for future sales hires
- Recruit and onboard additional sales team members as the team scales
Strategy and Go-to-Market - Set sales targets and assume ownership of the revenue number, including monthly and quarterly forecasting to leadership
- Contribute to the go-to-market strategy for product launches
- Identify and prioritize target accounts and verticals within the CPA firm market
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with marketing on lead quality, messaging, and campaign feedback
- Partner with customer success on account handoffs and pilot management
- Collaborate with product on feedback, packaging, pricing, and competitive positioning
Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience
- Experience selling into the CPA or accounting firm sector, or adjacent fintech markets, strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience building an early-stage sales team from the ground up, rather than managing or inheriting an established one
- Proven track record of personally carrying and achieving quota, in addition to managing others toward a target
What We Offer
- Competitive salary
- Company provided laptop
- Comprehensive benefits package
