Job Title: Junior Software Engineer

Position Overview:

You’ll be working on our customer facing web and backend apps, transforming various types of documents and data into compelling customer experiences. You’ll write high-quality, tested code, collaborate with other engineers, QA, and product teams, and contribute to building a product that delights our customers. Expect to participate in daily stand-ups that blend work updates with a bit of fun and be on calls collaborating for one to four hours a day. If you like to work by yourself, banging out code head-down all day, this is not the job for you. If you love being part of a team and working as a team, this is the job for you!

Essential Functions

• Develop, test and maintain customer-facing and internal applications

• Work with databases like Postgres and messaging systems like RabbitMQ.

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and follow best practices for code quality and testing.

• Engage in daily stand-ups and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position for at least 40 hours per week. Working days are Monday through Friday. Daily hours worked may be synonymous with specific customer needs or departments.  

Ability to travel up to 10% for company events, customer meetings, and/or conferences.

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with Python, Django, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (especially Vue.js).

• Basic experience with Postgres and understanding of web development principles.

• Either a four-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (an associate’s degree with two years of experience is also acceptable).

• Must be willing to have fun at work and engage with the team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Postgres, Azure, Kubernetes, and continuous integration and deployment.
